At MC Craft LLC, we stand behind every product that leaves our workshop. We understand that purchasing personalized items online requires trust – you’re investing in something unique, often created specifically for you or your loved ones. That’s why we’ve developed a return and refund policy that balances fairness with the realities of custom manufacturing.

This policy applies to all purchases made through mccraft.store. By placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

I. 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

MC Craft LLC offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on all non-personalized products. For personalized items (leather hats and whiskey glasses with custom engravings), we offer a modified guarantee that protects you against our errors while acknowledging the custom nature of your purchase.

Standard Products (if applicable)

For any standard product purchased without customization, you may return it for any reason within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.

Personalized Products

For custom-engraved leather hats and whiskey glasses:

  • If we make an error (wrong text, wrong design, poor engraving quality) → Full refund or free replacement, including return shipping

  • If you change your mind after receiving the product → Returns accepted only if the product remains unsold/unused, with refund amount reduced by 50% to cover material and labor costs

  • If you provided incorrect information (misspelled name, wrong date, unclear instructions) → Replacement offered at 40% of original price plus shipping

The 30-Day Clock Starts on Delivery Date

The 30-day return period begins on the date your package is delivered (confirmed by carrier tracking), not the order date or ship date.


II. Eligibility Criteria for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:

Condition Details

Leather Hats:

  • Must not show signs of wear (sweat stains, odors, scuffs)

  • Original tags must be attached (if applicable)

  • Must not have been altered or cleaned with any products

Whiskey Glasses:

  • Must be free of chips, cracks, or scratches (except those caused by shipping damage – see Section VII)

  • Must not have been used for drinking or washed in dishwasher

  • Must be free of water spots or residue


III. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:

1. Final Sale Items

Products marked as “Final Sale” on their product page. These are typically:

  • Clearance items

  • Discontinued designs

  • Factory seconds (minor cosmetic imperfections)

2. Gift Cards

Digital gift cards are non-refundable once the code has been revealed or emailed.

3. Bulk/Wholesale Orders

Orders of 50+ units are final sale unless defective. Custom bulk orders with specific engravings cannot be returned for refund.

4. Items Beyond 30 Days

No returns accepted after 30 days from delivery, regardless of condition or reason.

5. Items Damaged by Customer

We do not accept returns for items damaged due to:

  • Improper cleaning (dishwasher for hats, abrasive cleaners for glasses)

  • Accidental drops or impacts

  • Exposure to extreme heat or chemicals

  • Attempted DIY modifications

6. Personalized Items with Customer Error

If you provided incorrect engraving information and approved the final proof, the item cannot be returned for refund. Replacement may be available at reduced cost.


IV. Return Process – Step by Step

Follow these steps carefully to ensure your return is processed correctly and quickly.

Step 1: Request Return Authorization

Do not ship anything back to us before receiving authorization. Unauthorized returns may be refused or subject to processing delays.

Step 2: Receive Return Authorization Number

Within 1-2 business days, we will email you:

  • Return Authorization Number (RMA#) – must be written on your return package

  • Return shipping address (same as our main address, but marked for returns)

  • Instructions specific to your product type

Important: Returns without an RMA# clearly visible on the package exterior will be rejected and returned to you at your expense.

Step 3: Prepare Your Package

  • Pack the item securely in a box or padded envelope

  • Include a printed copy of your return authorization email (or handwrite the RMA# and order number on a piece of paper inside)

  • Write the RMA# in large letters on the outside of the package

  • Remove or cover any old shipping labels

Step 4: Ship the Return

  • Use a trackable shipping method (USPS, UPS, FedEx, or local equivalent)

  • Keep your tracking number and receipt until your refund is processed

  • We recommend purchasing shipping insurance for high-value items (over $100)

Step 5: Confirmation and Processing

  • Once we receive your return, allow 3-5 business days for inspection

  • You will receive email confirmation when your return is processed

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5-7 business days after inspection

Store Credit Bonus

Choose store credit instead of cash refund and receive an additional 10% credit on top of your refund amount. Example: Return a $50 item → receive $55 in store credit. Store credit never expires and can be used on any product at mccraft.store.

VII. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

We take quality control seriously. Each product is inspected before packaging. However, occasional issues occur during shipping or manufacturing.

What Qualifies as Damage or Defect

Leather Hats:

  • Cracks or splits in leather not caused by normal grain variation

  • Broken stitching upon arrival

  • Missing or detached sweatband

  • Engraving that is illegible, incomplete, or significantly misaligned (>5mm from requested position)

Whiskey Glasses:

  • Chips or cracks in glass

  • Cloudy or hazy spots that don’t wash off

  • Engraving that is too shallow (can be felt as rough but not visible clearly)

  • Engraving that is too deep (causes stress fractures)

What Does NOT Qualify:

  • Natural leather grain variations (scars, wrinkles, color variation)

  • Minor differences between mockup and final product (laser settings vary slightly by material)

  • Sizing issues when customer ordered wrong size (see Exchange section)

  • “Not what I expected” without specific defect

Reporting Timeline

You must report damage, defects, or incorrect items within 7 days of delivery. After 7 days, we assume the product was acceptable.

Prepaid Return Labels for Defects

If we confirm a defect or our error, we will email you a prepaid return shipping label (USPS or UPS). Attach this label to your package and drop it off at any carrier location. You pay nothing for return shipping.


VIII. Order Cancellations

Before Production (Within 4 Hours)

Most orders enter production within 4 hours of placement. If you need to cancel:

  • Within 4 hours of order placement: Full refund, no fees

  • After 4 hours but before shipping: 50% refund (materials may already be cut or engraving started)

  • After shipping: Cannot cancel; must follow return process

Partial Cancellations

If you ordered multiple items and want to cancel only some:

  • Contact us within 4 hours of order placement

  • Refund issued for canceled items at full price

  • Remaining items proceed as normal

Subscription or Pre-order Cancellations

MC Craft LLC does not currently offer subscription services. For pre-order items, cancellation is permitted up to 14 days before the estimated ship date with full refund.


IX. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for size, color, or different product (subject to availability).

Exchange Eligibility

  • Request within 30 days of delivery

  • Item must be unused and in original condition

  • Customer pays return shipping for original item

  • Customer pays any price difference for more expensive exchange

  • Refund issued for price difference if exchanging for cheaper item

Customs Declaration

When shipping an international return, you must:

  • Mark package as “Returned Goods – No Commercial Value”

  • Write “USA ORIGIN – RETURN TO MC CRAFT LLC” on customs form

  • Do not declare value (this may cause us to pay duties on return)

Lost International Returns

If you ship an international return without tracking and it is lost, MC Craft LLC cannot issue a refund. Always use tracked, insured shipping for international returns.

Refund Currency

Refunds for international orders are processed in USD. Your card issuer determines the exchange rate applied to the refund. We do not control or profit from currency conversion.

XII. Restocking Fees

We charge restocking fees only in specific situations to cover the cost of inspecting, cleaning, and repackaging returned items.

How Restocking Fees Are Applied

Example: You return a $60 hat because you changed your mind. The 15% restocking fee is $9. Your refund would be $51.

Restocking fees are deducted before refund is issued. You will see the deduction on your refund notification email.


XIII. Final Sale Items

Products marked “Final Sale” cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason except manufacturing defects.

  • Cart displays warning before checkout

  • Order confirmation email notes final sale status

Defects on Final Sale Items

If a final sale item arrives with a manufacturing defect, we will replace it with an identical item (if available) or issue store credit equal to the purchase price. Cash refunds are not available for final sale items.


XIV. Chargeback Policy

A chargeback occurs when you dispute a charge with your credit card issuer rather than requesting a refund directly from MC Craft LLC.

Before Filing a Chargeback

Please contact us first. Most issues can be resolved faster and more favorably through our return process.

Consequences of Filing a Chargeback

If you file a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the issue with us:

  1. Your refund through our system is automatically voided

  2. We will provide Stripe and your bank with evidence of our return policy and delivery confirmation

  3. If the chargeback is decided in our favor, you lose both the product and the money

  4. Your account with MC Craft LLC may be permanently suspended

  5. Future orders from your name, email, address, or card may be blocked

Legitimate Reasons for Chargebacks

Chargebacks are appropriate only for:

  • Fraudulent transactions (you never authorized the purchase)

  • Duplicate charges

  • Failure to receive any product (no tracking updates for 30+ days)

Chargebacks are not appropriate for:

  • “I changed my mind”

  • “It arrived later than I wanted”

  • “I didn’t like the quality” (without contacting us first)

  • “The engraving looks different than I imagined”

Our Chargeback Defense

If you file a chargeback for a reason covered by our return policy, we will provide your bank with:

  • Your order confirmation email (showing you agreed to our terms)

  • Tracking information showing delivery

  • Our return policy (which you acknowledged at checkout)

  • Records of our attempts to resolve the issue (if any)

Most legitimate chargebacks filed without prior contact are decided in the merchant’s favor.

Legal Information

This Return and Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, United States. Any disputes arising from returns shall be resolved in the courts of Honolulu County, Hawaii.

MC Craft LLC reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to mccraft.store. Orders placed before policy changes are governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.


Final Word

We designed this policy to be fair to both you and us. Custom manufacturing is inherently different from mass production – each leather hat and whiskey glass requires materials, labor, and machine time. When you change your mind after we’ve engraved your design, we cannot resell that item to another customer.
