That’s why we’ve built a shipping operation that prioritizes speed, accuracy, and transparency. From our Honolulu headquarters to your doorstep – anywhere in the United States or around the world – we work with trusted carriers to ensure your order arrives safely and on time.

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through mccraft.store. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined below.

I. Processing Time

Processing time is the period between when you place your order and when we hand it to the shipping carrier. This includes:

  • Quality control inspection of raw materials

  • Laser engraving (for custom orders)

  • Final quality inspection

  • Packaging and labeling

  • Carrier pickup or drop-off

Factors That May Extend Processing Time

  • Design proof approval: If you do not approve your proof within 48 hours, processing is paused until we receive approval.

  • Complex custom designs: Highly detailed artwork or multiple revisions may add 1-2 business days.

  • High volume periods: November through December (holiday season) may add 2-5 business days.

  • Quality issues: If our inspection finds a defect, we will remake the item, adding processing time. We will notify you if this occurs.

  • Weekends & holidays: We process orders Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Orders placed after 2 PM HST may be processed the next business day.

Business Days Defined

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding the following U.S. federal holidays:

  • New Year’s Day (January 1)

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)

  • Presidents’ Day (third Monday in February)

  • Memorial Day (last Monday in May)

  • Juneteenth (June 19)

  • Independence Day (July 4)

  • Labor Day (first Monday in September)

  • Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day (second Monday in October)

  • Veterans Day (November 11)

  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)

  • Day after Thanksgiving (Friday)

Processing Cutoff Time

Orders placed before 2:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time (HST) will begin processing the same business day. Orders placed after 2:00 PM HST will begin processing the next business day.

Example: Order placed Thursday at 3:00 PM HST → begins processing Friday. If Friday is a holiday, begins processing Monday.

We ship to all 50 U.S. states, plus Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories.

III. International Shipping

MC Craft LLC proudly serves customers in over 35 countries worldwide. We ship internationally via USPS International, UPS Worldwide, and DHL Express.

Important: USPS International tracking often stops updating once the package leaves the United States. For full visibility to delivery, choose UPS or DHL.

Customs Clearance

All international shipments are subject to customs inspection and clearance in the destination country. This process is outside our control and may add:

  • Typical delay: 2-5 business days

  • Peak season delay (Nov-Jan): 5-15 business days

  • If documentation issues arise: Up to 30 business days

We provide all required customs documentation (CN22 or CN23 forms) accurately. However, customs officials may request additional information from you. Please respond promptly to any customs requests to avoid return or destruction of your package.

Prohibited International Destinations

Due to U.S. sanctions and trade restrictions, we cannot ship to:

  • North Korea

  • Iran

  • Syria

  • Crimea region (Ukraine)

  • Cuba

  • Russia (currently suspended)

  • Belarus (currently suspended)

We also cannot ship to countries with active USPS or courier service suspensions. Check our website for the most current list.

MC Craft LLC partners with multiple carriers to provide optimal service for each order. We select the carrier based on:

  • Destination address (residential, commercial, PO box)

  • Package weight and dimensions

  • Shipping speed selected at checkout

  • Current carrier performance and reliability

Carrier Selection

You generally cannot choose a specific carrier (except when selecting expedited options that are carrier-specific). We will choose the most efficient carrier for your selected shipping method and destination.

Exception: If you have a strong preference (e.g., “USPS only because UPS doesn’t deliver to my area”), please note this in the order comments. We will do our best to accommodate.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Weight of products plus packaging

  • Dimensions of the final package

  • Shipping method selected

  • Destination (postal code/zone)

  • Insurance value (included automatically)

Why Shipping Costs Vary

  • Distance: Shipping from Hawaii to New York costs more than to California.

  • Weight: A hat with box weighs approximately 1 lb. A set of 6 whiskey glasses weighs approximately 4 lbs.

  • Fuel surcharges: Carriers add variable fuel fees that we pass through.

  • Peak season surcharges: November–January, carriers add $1-$5 per package.

We do not mark up shipping costs. What you pay is what we pay the carrier, plus a small handling fee ($0.50-$1.00 for packaging materials).


VI. Free Shipping Offer

Eligibility

We offer free standard shipping on all orders shipped within the United States (contiguous 48 states) with a subtotal of $75 or more.

  • Free shipping applies to the merchandise subtotal after discounts but before taxes.

  • Free shipping does NOT apply to:

    • Orders under $75

    • Expedited, express, or overnight shipping upgrades

    • International orders

    • Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories (exception: we sometimes offer free shipping to these locations during promotions)

Free Shipping Limitations

  • Free shipping does not guarantee faster delivery. Standard transit times apply.

  • If you return items that reduce your order subtotal below $75, the value of free shipping may be deducted from your refund (typically $5.99-$8.99).

  • Free shipping offers cannot be combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated.

Important Notes on Expedited Shipping

  1. Expedited shipping applies only to transit time after processing. Processing still takes 1-3 business days (or longer for custom items). Example: Order placed Monday with expedited shipping and 2-day processing → ships Wednesday → arrives Friday (total 4 days).

  2. Weekends and holidays do not count as business days for expedited shipping.

  3. Some rural addresses may not be eligible for overnight or 2-day delivery. The carrier will provide an estimated delivery date at checkout.

  4. No refunds for expedited shipping if the delay is caused by weather, natural disaster, carrier error outside our control, or incorrect address provided by you.

When to Choose Expedited Shipping

  • Last-minute gifts (birthday, anniversary, holiday)

  • Corporate events with fixed dates

  • Wedding party gifts needed before the big day

  • International orders where standard shipping would take 2-3 weeks

We recommend ordering at least 10-14 days before your needed date to account for processing and potential carrier delays.


VIII. Order Tracking

Every order shipped from MC Craft LLC includes a tracking number. You will receive this number via email when your order ships.

Tracking Status Meanings

“Label Created” We have printed a shipping label. Package may not yet be with carrier.
“Picked Up” / “Accepted” Carrier has possession of your package.

“Out for Delivery” Package is on local delivery vehicle. Expected delivery today.
“Delivered” Carrier has marked package as delivered.
“Exception” / “Delay” Something unexpected occurred. Check details or contact carrier.
“Customs Hold” (International) Package is awaiting customs clearance.

Tracking Not Updating?

If your tracking shows no movement for more than 5 business days:

  1. For USPS: This is common, especially for international packages. Tracking often updates only at major sort facilities or upon delivery.

  2. For UPS/DHL: Less common. Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number.

  3. Contact us: Email minhchichu655@gmail.com with your order number. We will investigate with the carrier.

Note: We cannot provide more detailed tracking than the carrier displays. If the carrier’s website says “In Transit,” that is all the information available.


IX. Shipping Confirmation & Notifications

You will receive the following email notifications related to shipping:

2. Proof Approval Request (For custom orders)

  • Sent within 24-48 hours

4. Delivery Confirmation (When carrier marks delivered)

X. Address Accuracy

You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address.

Before Submitting Your Order

  • Double-check street number, street name, apartment/unit number, city, state, ZIP code

  • Use standardized formats (e.g., “Apt 4B” not “Apartment 4 Letter B”)

  • Include company name if shipping to a business address

  • Verify with Google Maps if unsure

After Order Submission

If you realize you made an address error:

  2. If order has not shipped: We can update the address at no charge

  3. If order has shipped: We cannot change the address. You may be able to redirect the package through the carrier (fees apply). Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number.

Consequences of Incorrect Address

  • Undeliverable package returned to us: You will be responsible for:

    • Original shipping cost (non-refundable)

    • Return shipping fee charged by carrier (typically $5-$15)

    • Reshipping cost to correct address (standard rates apply)

  • Package delivered to wrong address: MC Craft LLC is not responsible if you provided an incorrect or incomplete address. We will not issue refunds or replacements for orders delivered to the address you provided.

Address Validation

Our checkout system performs basic address validation using USPS and UPS APIs. If you receive a warning that your address may be incorrect, please review and correct it. You may proceed with the unvalidated address, but you assume all risk.


XI. Undeliverable Packages

A package may be marked “undeliverable” and returned to us for several reasons:

What Happens When a Package Is Returned

  1. We receive the returned package (typically 2-4 weeks after original ship date for domestic, 4-8 weeks for international)

  2. We inspect the package and confirm the reason for return

  3. We email you to notify you of the return and discuss options

Signature Confirmation

Some orders may require an adult signature upon delivery, including:

  • Orders over $200

  • Orders we flag as high-risk for fraud

  • International orders at carrier discretion

If you are not available to sign, the carrier will leave a notice. You have 5-10 business days (depending on carrier) to pick up the package or schedule redelivery. Unclaimed packages will be returned to us as undeliverable.


XII. Lost or Stolen Packages

Lost Packages

A package is considered “lost” if:

  • Tracking shows no updates for 15 business days (domestic) or 25 business days (international) after the last scan

  • Carrier officially declares the package lost

What to do:

  1. Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number to open a lost package investigation

  2. Email minhchichu655@gmail.com with your order number and a summary of the carrier’s response

  3. We will work with the carrier on your behalf

Resolution:

  • If carrier confirms loss: We will refund your full order (including shipping) or send a free replacement (if inventory available)

  • If carrier cannot locate package but has not declared loss: We will wait 10 additional business days before resolving

Stolen Packages (Marked “Delivered” but Not Received)

If tracking shows “Delivered” but you did not receive the package:

Step 1: Check with neighbors, building management, or front desk

Step 2: Look around your property (behind bushes, under doormats, etc.)

Step 3: Wait 48 hours – carriers sometimes mark “Delivered” before actual drop-off

Step 4: Contact the carrier to confirm delivery location (GPS coordinates available for UPS/FedEx)

Step 5: If still missing after 3 days, email minhchichu655@gmail.com with:

  • Your order number

  • Confirmation that you completed steps 1-4

  • Any response from the carrier

Our policy on stolen packages:

  • First occurrence (per customer): We will send one replacement at no cost or issue a full refund (your choice)

  • Subsequent occurrences: We will provide evidence of delivery to you for insurance claim purposes but will not issue refunds or replacements

Why we cannot guarantee against theft: Once a carrier marks a package as delivered, we have fulfilled our obligation. We offer one courtesy replacement, but repeated claims suggest an unsafe delivery location, and you should consider using a package locker, workplace delivery, or signature confirmation.

Insurance Coverage

All orders include shipping insurance as follows:

Insurance covers loss or damage during transit (not theft after delivery). Claims must be filed within 30 days of the original estimated delivery date.


XIII. Damaged in Transit

Despite our robust packaging (double-boxed for glassware, padded mailers for hats), damage can occasionally occur during shipping.

Reporting Damage

You must report damage within 7 days of delivery.

  • Clear photos of:

    • The damaged product (show the damage from multiple angles)

    • The packaging (especially any crushing, tears, or water damage)

    • The shipping label

  • Description of how the damage appears

What Happens Next

  1. We review your photos within 1-2 business days

  2. If damage is confirmed, we offer:

    • Free replacement (identical product, shipped at our expense)

    • Full refund (including original shipping)

  3. We may ask you to keep the damaged item (for glass, please dispose safely) or return it using a prepaid label (for quality analysis)

Damage vs. Defect

  • Damage: Caused by carrier mishandling (crushed box, broken glass, cracked leather). Covered by our shipping insurance.

  • Defect: Manufacturing issue present before shipping (incorrect engraving, poor leather quality). Covered by our product warranty.

Both are resolved the same way (free replacement or refund), but the internal process differs.

Packaging Quality

We take packaging seriously:

  • Whiskey glasses: Individually wrapped in bubble wrap, placed in a fitted cardboard divider, then double-boxed with padding between boxes.

  • Leather hats: Placed in a rigid hat box with tissue paper, then shipped in a corrugated outer box.

Despite these measures, carriers can be rough. If you receive a damaged package, please accept our apologies – we will make it right.


XIV. Customs, Duties & Taxes (International)

For international orders, you are the importer of record. MC Craft LLC is not responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or brokerage fees charged by your country.

How Customs Works

  1. Your package leaves our facility in Honolulu

  2. It arrives at customs in your country

  3. Customs officials inspect the package and assess any duties/taxes based on:

    • Declared value (the price you paid)

    • Product category (leather goods, glassware)

    • Your country’s tariff schedule

  4. Customs notifies you (by mail, email, or phone) of amount due

  5. You pay the fees to customs or the carrier (who pays on your behalf)

  6. Customs releases the package for final delivery

Can MC Craft LLC Help with Customs?

We cannot:

  • Predict exact duty amounts

  • Pay duties on your behalf (except where required by law, such as some EU VAT collection)

  • Mark packages as “gifts” to avoid duties (this is customs fraud and illegal)

  • Undervalue packages (also illegal)

We can:

  • Provide accurate commercial invoices with your order value

  • Provide product descriptions and HS codes to customs

  • Answer reasonable questions about our shipping documentation

Refusing to Pay Duties

If you refuse to pay customs duties and the package is returned to us:

  • You will not receive a refund for original shipping costs

  • We will deduct return shipping fees (charged by carrier, typically $15-$40) from your product refund

  • The remaining balance (if any) will be refunded to your original payment method

Example: You paid $100 for products + $20 shipping = $120. Package returned. Return shipping fee $25. Refund = $100 – $25 = $75.

European Union VAT Changes

As of July 1, 2021, Stripe may collect VAT at checkout for orders shipped to EU countries where the IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) system applies. If VAT is collected at checkout, you will not owe additional VAT upon delivery. Check your order confirmation to see if VAT was included.

These are recommendations, not guarantees. Carrier volume can cause unexpected delays even for expedited shipping.

Peak Season Surcharges

Carriers add peak season surcharges between October and January. These are reflected in our shipping rates at checkout.

Extended Processing During Holidays

During peak season, processing times may increase by 2-5 business days. We will post a banner on our website when processing times are extended.

What to Do If Your Holiday Order Is Delayed

We understand how stressful delayed gifts can be. If your order has not arrived by December 23 and you selected an expedited method, contact us immediately. While we cannot guarantee delivery, we will:

  • Investigate with the carrier

  • Provide documentation for you to explain to the gift recipient

  • Offer store credit for a future purchase (if delay is our fault)


XVII. PO Boxes & APO/FPO Addresses

PO Boxes (United States)

We ship to PO boxes via USPS only. UPS does not deliver to PO boxes.

  • Standard shipping: USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail

  • Expedited shipping not available to PO boxes (UPS cannot deliver)

  • Delivery time: 3-7 business days after processing

APO/FPO/DPO Addresses (Military)

We proudly ship to military addresses worldwide.

APO (Army Post Office) – Army/Air Force
FPO (Fleet Post Office) – Navy/Marines

Important Notes:

  • Use the correct 5-digit ZIP code for the military facility (not the destination country)

  • Select “APO/FPO/DPO” as the country in checkout

  • Delivery times: 10-21 business days (often longer during deployment surges)

  • Tracking may stop after the package leaves the U.S. consolidation center

  • USPS is the only carrier for APO/FPO addresses (UPS/FedEx cannot deliver)

  • No expedited shipping available

  • Customs forms are not required (USPS handles military mail differently)

Prohibited items for APO/FPO: Same as USPS restrictions. All our products (leather hats, glassware) are permitted.


XVIII. Local Pickup in Honolulu

If you are on Oahu and wish to avoid shipping costs and wait times, we offer local pickup.

  • Available to customers with a Hawaii shipping address

  • Must select “Local Pickup” at checkout

Our office is in downtown Honolulu. Specific pickup instructions (building access, contact number for arrival) will be emailed to you when your order is ready.

Pickup Process

  1. Place order online and select “Local Pickup”

  2. Wait for “Ready for Pickup” email (typically 1-3 business days)

  3. Bring your order confirmation email and a photo ID

  4. Pick up during our business hours (Monday-Friday, 10 AM – 4 PM HST)

No Fee for Local Pickup

Local pickup is free. You will not be charged shipping.

If You Don’t Pick Up

Orders not picked up within 14 days of the “Ready for Pickup” notification will be considered abandoned. We may cancel the order and refund product cost minus a 20% restocking fee.


XIX. Shipping Restrictions

Product Restrictions

Our products (leather hats and whiskey glasses) are not restricted by any carrier for domestic shipping. For international shipping:

  • Leather hats: Permitted to all countries except where leather imports are restricted (none currently)

  • Whiskey glasses: Permitted to all countries (glass is not restricted)

Carrier Restrictions

  • UPS/FedEx: Cannot ship to PO boxes or APO/FPO

  • USPS: Cannot ship liquids (not relevant) or hazardous materials (not relevant)

  • DHL: Requires commercial addresses for some international deliveries

Quantity Restrictions for International

Some countries restrict import of leather goods over certain values without special permits. For orders over $800 USD to any country, customs may require additional documentation. We will contact you if this occurs.


XX. Split Shipments

If you order multiple items, they may ship separately in the following situations:

When Split Shipments Occur

  • Different processing times: Custom items may ship after standard items

  • Different warehouses: Rarely, but if inventory is split

  • Size/weight: Very large orders may require multiple boxes

How You Will Know

  • You will receive separate shipping confirmation emails for each shipment

  • Each email contains a unique tracking number

  • Your order is not complete until all tracking numbers show “Delivered”

No Additional Cost

We do not charge extra for split shipments. You pay the shipping cost calculated at checkout regardless of how many boxes we send.


XXI. Insurance

Included Insurance

All orders include shipping insurance as described in Section XII. Coverage is provided by the carrier or third-party insurer (depending on the shipment).

How to File an Insurance Claim

For lost packages:

  1. Wait until the package is officially declared lost by carrier (usually 15-30 days after last scan)

  2. Contact us – we will file the claim on your behalf

  3. Claims are typically resolved within 10-14 business days

For damaged packages:

  1. Report within 7 days of delivery (see Section XIII)

  2. We will file the claim using your photos

  3. Replacement or refund issued immediately (we don’t wait for claim approval)

Additional Insurance

For orders over $200, you may purchase additional insurance at checkout (cost varies by value). This covers the full replacement value in case of loss or damage.

Not covered by insurance:

  • Theft after delivery (package marked “Delivered”)

  • Damage caused by you (dropped glass, improper cleaning)

  • Normal wear and tear
